Since it is Christmas time and for most kids this means really only one thing – PRESENTS. I want to share a bit about my own experience and what types of gifts have made my children the most happy. As parents we all know that
many, if not most, of the things we buy and the things Santa brings are enjoyed for a short period of time and then forgotten. Of course, when one attempts to clean up the clutter and suggests maybe giving away these un-used and in perfectly good conditions toys they again, for about a minute, become prized possessions.
My son adored trains. These 4 photos show a very small sample of how he loved trains in every shape, size and fashion and he would ride, play with and admire them all.
But, there is one particular train that he and I remember the most and it is this train. He made it himself with my help. It was special because HE made it with ME. Of all the other trains, he enjoyed this one the most. I am sure that most of his memory of these “other trains” have faded to nothing, but not this train. All the other trains cost money, but not this train – it was free.
Sometimes are the best Christmas gifts are free.
